I did not forget to buy a smartphone that has Bluetooth technology so it just made sense to pick this bad-boy up and give it a try. I plugged this into my cigarette lighter and it powered on right away. I set my phone to look for the new Bluetooth device and it detected it right away and, you guessed it, it connected right away too. I then found an FM frequency that was not noisy and then matched the frequency on the FM Transmitter. I then opened my music playlist on my phone and found my favorite AC/DC album and proceeded to jam away through my truck speakers. Before I purchased this I was limited to the phone speakers and when you are traveling, road noise tends to overpower the best of phone speakers.
